Lick 1: Uses the same motif on multiple areas of the fretboard. Switching from one position to another using slides.
Lick 2: Uses a mixture of techniques, such as slurs, slides and bends.
Lick 3: Combines string skipping and repeating notes that create a beautiful tension.
Lick 4: Is all about string skipping and wide slides!
Lick 5: Combines it all! Speed, sequences, motifs and bends!
Practice the licks as is first, then try to come up with your own variations of those licks, then try to integrate those variations together into your playing and become instantly more melodic!
